Cat Decides to Stick Around a Firehouse, Asking Everyone for Attention Until She Gets What She Wanted

A friendly stray cat showed up at a FDNY station, approaching everyone for attention. She began hanging around the place regularly, returning each day for a dose of love.

When word got out about the incredibly sweet tabby at the firehouse, several compassionate city employees stepped in to help. They offered her food, water, and plenty of affection.

They lovingly named the cat Marcella, whose warm greetings became the highlight of their day.

Marcella found joy in a bowl of food and a simple “conversation” with her human friends.

She made herself comfortable in a nook behind a pallet bar, where an office chair served as her bed. At the sight of people, she would hop down from her “throne” and stroll over, asking for more food.

She rolled on the ground, stretching her paws as if reaching for the stars. Even when walking or standing, she kneaded the ground like dough, her purr motor constantly rumbling.

Upon receiving the rescue request, volunteers at Little Wanderers NYC acted swiftly, arranging a vet appointment and securing a foster home for the deserving cat.

It took a village, but Marcella was finally off the streets, spayed, and embarking on a new chapter filled with comfort and love. As she settled into her foster home, her true personality started to shine.

“She’s blossomed into the most affectionate and playful girl,” Little Wanderers NYC shared.

“She loves belly rubs, snuggles, and making biscuits on fluffy blankets. She’s the kind of cat who enjoys being close to you and even listens when you talk to her,” her foster mom shared.

No longer rolling on the hard ground outside, she now lounges on soft rugs and blankets. Lying on her back, she playfully invites belly rubs.

After wandering the streets for so long, Marcella delights in being treated like royalty. She happily allows her human to tuck her into a blanket, staying close by so she’s never alone.

“She’s litter-trained, well-behaved, and never jumps on counters. She’s just so chill and laid-back.”

Marcella is the perfect TV companion, always up for a good show with her humans. She’s transfixed by the screen, eyes wide and ears perked, completely captivated by the entertainment.

Nothing makes her happier than sitting on the couch next to her people, enjoying TV time together.

The sweet tabby came to the firehouse, seeking affection until she became the indoor cat she was meant to be. “She is ready to bring endless love and purrs to her forever family.”
